Nominations are currently being sought for the Derbyshire Sports Awards.The awards are a perfect opportunity to recognise people who have spent many years volunteering in sport or go the extra mile to help others, as well as clubs that make a substantial contribution to the community and those teams and individuals who have achieved success in their chosen sport.
Categories include Sportsperson of the Year, Junior Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year, Club of the Year, Junior Team of the Year, Community Coach of the Year and Service to Sport.
Awards will be made at district level, and winners will then go forward to be considered for the county event. More details and entry forms for each district can be found here: http://www.derbyshiresport.co.uk/sportsawards
The closing date for nominations is August 20, except in Bolsover where the closing date is August 6
